Choosing The Independent Physicians Network (IPN)

Independent Physicians Network (IPN) was founded by doctors who aspire to provide a higher level of medical and health care for their patients. Our mission is to develop, protect, and enhance the capability of member physicians to maintain a quality practice and provide optimum patient care. Over the past thirty-five years, IPN’s providers have successfully demonstrated this mission through providing high quality, cost effective health care for their patients.

IPN provides many services and resources to member physicians to assure overall better health care management of their patients. IPN prides itself in not only its successful value based contract partnerships with commercial, Medicaid and Medicare payers but also its ability to arrange for the provision of high-quality, cost-effective medical care for all IPN contracted enrollees. IPN assures its enrollees a quality provider network by exceeding the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) standards for credentialing member physicians and other contracted providers. As a not-for-profit organization, IPN understands the importance of the availability of affordable, quality healthcare for all enrollees. With an active Board of Directors and a staff of experienced medical and business professionals, IPN successfully and effectively provides the services required for a managed care business.

IPN takes many actions to improve health care quality and lower health care costs for the benefit of its member physicians and their patients. IPN’s 700+  member physicians utilize all area hospitals, and many freestanding clinics in southeastern Wisconsin. By sharing information and collaboratively working together with IPN, IPN member physicians are able to monitor their patients’ care through the entire course of their treatment to improve the overall quality of health care they provide.

Because IPN was founded by physicians, we understand the importance of the trusted relationship between physicians and patients and work to foster that trust on a daily basis.
