Promoting Interoperability Programs Promoting Interoperability Programs Milestones In 2011, CMS established the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs (now known as the Promoting Interoperability programs) to encourage clinicians, eligible hospitals, and CAHs to adopt, implement, upgrade (AIU), and demonstrate meaningful use of CEHRT.

The Joint Commission evaluates and accredits more than 15,000 health care organizations and programs in the US. An independent, not-for-profit organization, the Joint Commission is the nation’s predominant standards-setting and accrediting organization in health care. Since 1951, the Joint Commission has maintained state-of-the-art standards that focus on improving the quality and safety of care provided by health care organizations.

The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) is the premier source for information about the quality of the nation’s managed care plans. NCQA is an independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to improve health care quality everywhere.

Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wisconsin has consistently served the health care needs of Wisconsin residents since 1940. Independent Care Health Plan, or iCare, provides managed care coverage for approximately 28,000 people throughout Wisconsin. iCare has been securing the wellness of people with complex conditions for over two decades. For 2017, iCare received a rating of 4.5 out of 5 Stars from Medicare.

My Choice Wisconsin is a Medicaid HMO for BadgerCare Plus members in 27 counties in Wisconsin. My Choice Wisconsin is locally owned and managed and serves more than 21,400 members.

Ascension Wisconsin a not-for-profit organization of twenty-three hospitals, one hundred-eleven clinics, a college of nursing, and more than 900 physicians in Wisconsin.

The Medical College of Wisconsin, located in west suburban Milwaukee, is a private, academic institution dedicated to leadership and excellence in education, research, patient care, and service.
