Independent Physicians Network, Inc. was founded by independent physicians who aspire to provide a higher level of medical care for their patients while preserving the independence of their practices. Our mission is to develop, protect, and enhance the capabilities of member physicians to maintain quality practices and provide optimal patient care. Over the past twenty years, IPN has successfully demonstrated this mission through services that provide high-quality healthcare at an effective cost for its patients. Without charging fees, IPN provides many services and resources to member physicians to assure better management of the overall healthcare of their patients and retain the autonomy of their independent practices.

At IPN, we strongly believe that the most successful treatment for any ailment is to prevent it in the first place. Through preventive services and quality, cost-effective medical care, our IPN network of physicians and organizations allows our member physicians the ability to be involved in every aspect of their patients’ care. IPN takes many actions to improve overall health and lower healthcare costs for the benefit of all its member physicians and their patients. Our member physicians have access to over 1000 physicians, all area hospitals, and many freestanding clinics in Milwaukee and the surrounding areas. By sharing access to these networked resources, IPN member physicians are able to monitor their patients’ care through the entire course of their treatment to improve the overall quality of healthcare they receive while maintaining cost efficiency for both the patient and the practice. Because IPN was founded by physicians, we understand the importance of the trusted relationship between physicians and patients and work to foster that trust and strengthen that relationship through our shared resources.

As independent physicians, IPN also understands the importance of the business aspects of the independent practice. IPN’s involved Board of Directors designs and monitors policies to guide member physicians with various clinical and administrative aspects including studying and negotiating payer contracts. Collectively, IPN’s negotiating power is stronger and yields better rates than individual practitioners, and thus provides fair compensation to its member physicians.
